Replace audio

Replace audio swaps the file behind a song and keeps everything you built on it. If a corrected mix lands the morning of a show, you can put it in without rebuilding the cue structure.

How to replace a file

1. Right-click a song card and choose Replace Audio.
2. Pick the new audio file.
3. LTCast compares the old and the new recording by sound and opens the Version compare view, where you review what moved and apply it.

There is no separate offset preview any more: replacing audio goes straight to the compare view, because a new master is rarely a clean shift — a re-edit adds or drops sections, and a single offset would quietly put half the show in the wrong place.

If the files are not the same song

When the two recordings do not sound like the same song, auto-remap is switched off and LTCast offers Swap file only (keep cues) instead: the audio is replaced and every cue stays exactly where it was.
