AI lyric align (Pro)
AI align listens to the song, separates the vocal, and puts a time on every lyric line that does not have one yet. It is the alternative to tapping a song in by hand, and it earns its keep on a set you have just been handed.
What it needs
- A Pro licence β AI align is a Pro feature.
- Windows or an Apple Silicon Mac. The Intel Mac engine is not published.
- The engine itself, which downloads the first time you run it (the model is about 461 MB and is fetched once). Until then the button reports AI engine not installed yet.
- An audio file on the song β lyrics on their own are not enough.
Running it
Open the LYRICS tab and click AI align. A progress panel walks through the stages: reading audio, separating vocals, downloading the model the first time, aligning lyrics, finalizing. How long it takes depends on the length of the song β a medley can take several minutes. Cancel stops it.
Skipping an intro: AI start
Some songs open with vocals that are not in your lyric sheet β a sample, an MC intro, the previous track bleeding in. Scrub past it, then use Set AI start to pin the playhead: alignment only counts audio after that point. Clear AI start goes back to aligning the whole song. The marker clears itself once a run finishes, since it only exists to guide that one pass.
Checking the result
Lines the engine was unsure about are flagged, with a count of how many are still to review and the hint Low confidence β check this line. Play the song, fix the ones that are off (nudge them on the timeline or re-tap them), and clear the flag. Instrumental gaps are handled too: a blank row is timed at the moment the previous line finishes singing, so the display clears during the break instead of holding the last line up.
Running it again
If the song already has timed lines, LTCast asks before overwriting them β Reset & align recomputes everything. Clear times wipes the timings without aligning. Both are a single Ctrl+Z away.
